The Process of Charging Your Dead Car Battery

We here at Chiefland Ford are committed to helping you gain a full understanding of your vehicle and the best way to take care of it. With that in mind, we realize just how difficult it is when you have a dead car battery. Luckily, there is an easy way for you to charge your battery, so you can start your car and go on your merry way yet again. Consider these steps:

Determine why your battery went bad in the first place.

If your battery goes flat suddenly, your first step is to determine just why it happened? If you accidentally left your lights on last night, that would explain why your battery went bad. However, if your battery went bad completely “out of the blue”, then you need to go to see us at Chiefland Ford and we can help you figure out the problem.

Apply the charger.

The next step is to put the charger cables on the battery. Attach the red cables to the positive terminal of the battery and attach the black cables to the negative terminal. After that, you should plug the charger into a wall outlet and charge it until the box reads that it has been completed.

If you have any questions about this process, you can consult the professionals at our showroom for more information!
